Staff SMS Program

About the program

The program is called the Sort + Place Staff SMS Program. Sort + Place is a household management company. We use text messaging only to communicate operational information to household staff directly employed by private residences we manage.

Messages are strictly operational. We do not use this program for advertising, marketing, promotions, sales offers, or public subscription messages.

Who may receive messages

Only household staff members who voluntarily give affirmative consent during in-person onboarding may be added to the program.

Sort + Place does not use this program to contact customers, public subscribers, purchased lists, rented lists, imported lists, scraped phone numbers, lead lists, third-party contacts, or anyone who has not directly agreed to receive these messages.

Types of messages

Staff members who opt in may receive work schedules, shift confirmations or changes, work assignments, reminders, arrival or access instructions, task updates, schedule-related questions, urgent household operations notices, and other information necessary to coordinate household work.

How staff members opt in

SMS consent is requested verbally and in person during staff onboarding. The manager explains the program and reads the complete consent request below. The staff member must clearly and affirmatively agree before the manager may add the mobile number to the SMS list.

No online form, website checkbox, text-to-join keyword, purchased list, or third-party consent source is used for enrollment.

Exact verbal consent script

“Sort + Place offers optional operational text messages for household staff. These messages may include your work schedule, shift changes, work assignments, reminders, arrival instructions, task updates, and urgent household operations notices. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You may reply STOP at any time to stop receiving text messages, or reply HELP for help.

Receiving text messages is completely voluntary. Your decision will not affect your employment, work assignments, scheduling, or access to work information. If you do not want text messages, we can give you the same work information by email or phone call.

Do you voluntarily agree to receive operational text messages from Sort + Place at the mobile number you provided?”

The staff member must give an affirmative response, such as “Yes,” “I agree,” or another clear statement of consent. Silence, failure to object, submission of a phone number, acceptance of employment, or agreement to general employment documents is not treated as SMS consent.

How consent is recorded

After receiving affirmative verbal consent, the manager records the staff member’s name, approved mobile number, date of consent, that consent was given verbally and in person, and the name of the manager who obtained it. The number is added to the SMS list only after the consent record is completed.

Consent is voluntary

Consent to receive text messages is voluntary and is not a condition of employment, scheduling, receiving work assignments, receiving household operations information, continuing to work at a managed residence, or receiving any service or employment-related benefit.

Staff members who do not opt in may receive operational information through email or phone calls.

Message frequency and charges

Message frequency varies according to schedules, assignments, household needs, and urgent operational circumstances. Message and data rates may apply depending on the staff member’s mobile carrier and service plan.

Opt out and help

Reply STOP at any time to opt out. Opting out does not affect employment, scheduling, work assignments, or access to operational information. Reply HELP for help.
