When you request early access, we collect the information you provide directly: your name, email address, and city (optional).
Once your household is using Sorted & Stocked, the app stores the information your household enters to operate the service: recipes, inventory items, meal plans, shopping lists, and staff coordination notes (such as shift handovers and task assignments).
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
Sort + Place uses text messaging only to send operational information to household staff directly employed by private residences we manage. Messages may include schedules, shift changes, work assignments, reminders, arrival instructions, task updates, and urgent household operations notices. These messages are not marketing or promotional.
Staff members are asked verbally and in person during onboarding whether they voluntarily want to receive operational text messages. A manager records the staff member's affirmative verbal consent before adding the mobile number to the SMS list. Providing a mobile number alone does not constitute consent.
SMS consent is voluntary and is not a condition of employment, scheduling, receiving work assignments, receiving operational information, or receiving services. Staff members who do not opt in may receive information through email or phone calls.
Sort + Place does not share, sell, rent, or transfer mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in information, or SMS consent records to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
This includes mobile phone numbers, SMS consent records, SMS opt-in dates or sources, and information collected specifically through the Sort + Place Staff SMS Program. Service providers used only to support the technical delivery, security, and operation of communications are not authorized to use mobile information for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out or HELP for help. Opting out does not affect employment, scheduling, work assignments, or access to operational information.

Data is scoped to your specific property/household. Access is role-based: Owner, Manager, and Staff accounts see different levels of information, and one household's data is never visible to another household using the service.
Sorted & Stocked includes tools that suggest kashrut categorization (Fleishig/Milchig/Parve tags) and, in some cases, bracha suggestions. These are provided as organizational aids based on the information entered into the app. They are not, and are not intended to be, a halachic ruling. Your household's own judgment, and your rav's guidance, remain the authority on any question of kashrut or halacha.
Data is stored using industry-standard hosting and database infrastructure with encryption and access controls. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no system can be guaranteed 100% secure.
Your household's data is retained for as long as your account is active.
To delete your account and all associated data, email sortandplace@gmail.com from the address on your account. We will confirm within 2 business days and complete deletion within 30 days. Household data you created may be retained by the property owner where they have a legitimate need. For example, inventory records for a house you no longer work at.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active households directly.
If you choose to use the location-based zmanim feature (when available), we request your device's current location one time, only when you tap to use it. This is used solely to calculate accurate zmanim (such as candle lighting) for your current location. The coordinates are not stored, logged, or retained after the calculation. We do not track your location continuously or in the background.
